Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Landscape study will be done in İstiklal Caddesi in Beyoğlu. The historic street will have a greener look with the tree pots to be placed. Within the scope of the project, inspired by the unique and historical texture of Istiklal Caddesi by İBB Park Bahceler Department, 24 potted trees will be placed on the historic 350 meters street.
Within this scope, 8 potted trees will be added to the point where İstiklal Caddesi is connected to Taksim Square. The pots to be planted with four different kinds of trees will contribute to Beyoglu’s aesthetics with its modern and original designs while greening the historical street.
Taksim Square, Aga Mosque Front, Galatasaray Square, Odakule and Tunnel Square within the scope of the study, 20 meters will be placed in search of pots. Tree species, such as ilex and laurel were selected from each species to stay green.

Meanwhile, while İBB Park Bahçeler District Office determined the places of the pots to be placed along İstiklal Caddesi, the opinions of the artisans were taken. The pots that will not cover the shop fronts will not cause the victims of the shopkeepers.
Seating areas were inspired by the design of wooden pots, the texture of Istiklal Caddesi and the historical structures on the street. İBB Park Bahçeler Department will also put fruit tree pots in İstiklal Caddesi according to the season.
