 Home    Uskudar-Sancaktepe Subway Line Has Started Trains Test Runs

Working on the Uskudar-Sancaktepe subway, one of the largest subway projects on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, continues at the fastest pace. The trains that have been brought to the subway line have started their test drives.

Uskudar-Sancaktepe subway line reached its final stage in the construction work. The subways from Uskudar with Marmaray integration, respectively; They will reach to the line of Baglarbası, Altunizade, Fistikagacı,  Kisikli, Umraniye, Bulgurlu, Carsi, Cakmak, Yamanevler, Ihlamurkuyu, Altinsehir, Dudullu, Imam Hatip High School,  Necip Fazıl and Cekmekoy-Sancaktepe. All transport points, especially Marmaray, other subway lines and metrobus will be easily accessible.


Driverless Subway Will Serve

Among the information that will be provided to Istanbul residents will be 126 stations on the 16th station Uskudar – Sancaktepe subway line, which is said to be equipped with an automatic system and has the latest technology, which will provide service without drivers and will use “bay door” system for the security of the citizens.

When the Uskudar-Cekmekoy underground station, which has been in operation since 2012, is undoubtedly one of the questions asked by every Istanbul citizen. After the completion of the test runs, the other works will be completed and the subway which will serve between Uskudar and Sancaktepe in the Anatolian Region will serve as the first stage Ümraniye. The plan is to be made by September 2017.
