The housing price index increased by 0.94 percent in February 2018 to 254.46. The House Price Index February 2018 was announced by Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). Accordingly, in February of 2018, House Price Index increased by 0.94 compared to the previous month and by 10.09 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and realized at 254.46.

Hedonic Housing Price Index Increased

In February 2018, Hedonic Housing Price Index(HHPI) increased by 0.76 percent compared to the previous month and increased by 9.51 percent in nominal terms compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased by 0.68 percent in real terms.

By controlling the properties of the houses that can be observed over time in Turkey; HHPI is used to monitor the effect of changes in quality adjusted price.

HHPI; In February 2018, it increased by 0.76 percent compared to the previous month and realized at 217.84

HHPI, which increased by 9.51 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 0.68 percent in real terms in the same period.

Increase In Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir

When the developments in the hedonic house price indices of the three major provinces are evaluated, in the month of February 2018, 0.55, 0.13 and 1.24 percent increase was observed in Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir respectively. If the index values were compared to the same month of the previous year, Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir increased by 3.98, 6.16 and 16.70 percent, respectively.
