The draft of the New Urban Development Plan drafted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism and submitted to the municipalities brings the results to be discussed in the real estate world. According to the new draft, the requirement that the structure not exceed 40 percent of the floor space to be built is being removed. In this view, it is planned to build low-rise buildings instead of multi-storey buildings.
It is spoken that this development will lead to seeing horizontal architectural designs in homes throughout Turkey. The International Balkan and Turkish Business World Association (BATÜDER) President Akın Kazançoğlu, who is evaluating the new draft, stated that they are experiencing difficulties in zoning plan land in İzmir. Kazançoğlu said ” young people in Izmir is increasing day by day. For this reason, it is also difficult to find housing for them. I think it would be better if a new zoning arrangement is made. ”
Reminding that the new draft does not exceed 40 percent of the floor area, Necip Nasir, President of the Federation of Contractors, underlined that this situation could lead to changes in the process of making apartments for plot. Necip Nasır reminded that the new directive did not affect the old projects, ” Projects will be built or the construction started with the same construction will continue to be done. New projects after October will be made according to the new regulation. ”
