Turkey Statistical Institute, “Construction Workforce Input Indexes” announced the second quarter data. Accordingly, in the April-June period of 2017, employment in the construction sector decreased by 2.1 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous quarter

The calendar-adjusted construction employment index declined by 10.2 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

The calendar-adjusted construction hours worked index declined by 10.8 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

GROSS WAGE- SALARY INDEX

The calendar adjusted gross wage-salary index, which was adjusted for the same period last year, increased by 2.3 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has announced Construction Labor Force Indices for the second quarter of 2017.
Accordingly, the seasonal and calendar-adjusted construction employment index decreased by 2.1 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter. The calendar-adjusted construction employment index fell to 67.7, down 10.2 percent from the same quarter last year.
In the mentioned period, the hours worked in the construction sector decreased by 2.4 percent compared to the previous quarter and was 63. The hourly working hours index in the construction industry excluding the calendar effect decreased by 10.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and received a value of 63.9.
In this period, the sector’s gross wage-salary index increased by 2.3 percent to 178,1 according to the previous quarter. The calendar adjusted gross wage and salary index increased by 2.3 percent compared to the same period last year and rose to 180.3.
